Richard Alexis (Moisture, Mold & Home Inspectors)
Richard Alexis has completed over 3,500 commercial and residential inspections and over 1,000 insurance inspections. He has several accreditations, which include AIEH (Accredited Indoor Environmental Hygienist), CIE (Certified Indoor Environmentalist), RPI (Registered Professional Inspector), CRI (Certified Real Estate Inspector), Wind and Hurricane Mitigation Inspector, and a Certified Federal Emergency Disaster Housing Inspector. Throughout his career, Richard has published numerous articles on inspection procedures and designed / conducted Environmental Training Classes at Miami Dade College.

David Goldstein (Manufactured Housing and Modular Construction)
David Goldstein is the Director of Training for the Inspector Education Institute, a NJ state licensed vocational school. David received his B.S. degree in Industrial Technology from the University of Maryland. He has been in the home inspection profession since 1974 and has performed thousands of inspections throughout the United States and Canada on residential, commercial and industrial properties ranging in age from still-under-construction to over 300 years old. David has been training home inspectors for over 25 years and currently teaches the NJ Home Inspector licensing course and continuing education courses throughout the country. David also currently serves as the President of the NJ Association of Home Inspectors.

Sam Wood, P.E. (Residential Foundation & Floor Structure Defects; Their Recognition, Causes, and Cures)
Sam Wood is a Registered Professional Civil Engineer who owns and operates Advantage Home & Environment Inspections, Inc. He has completed over 11,700 home inspections and has an Undergraduate Degree from Penn State University in Mathematics and a Masters of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. Sam's inspection focus has migrated towards structural failure & foundation movement with an emphasis on the most cost effective structural repairs required to bring the home back into structural stability.

Peter Hopkins (Session 1: Diversif-IR "Opportunities for Home Inspectors with Infrared Testing, Session 2: Demystifying the Art and Science of Finding Moisture in Buildings Using Thermal Imaging)
Peter Hopkins has operated a successful home inspection company since 1996 and has personally performed over 7000 property inspections. The company expanded into infrared in 2005, with the opening of SoCal Infrared and has found success in many areas of diversification. He is the Co-Founder of United Infrared, a national network of certified thermographers which includes application-specific training and business coaching in a multitude of applications related to infrared technology. Peter is a Level II Certified Thermographer, ICC Code Certified Building Inspector, Certified HERS Energy Rater and Equine Thermography trained and licensed with the California Horse Racing Board as an Assistant to Veterinarian.

Steve Preins (Claims Prevention and Management)
For nearly 30 years, Steve has been a part of the construction and inspection industry. He has been a member of various national associations and he founded a multi-inspector firm, which performed thousands of home inspections and radon measurements. Currently, Steve is the Director of Education and Training for Quality Education Group, Inc. In this role, he provides seminars, state licensed continuing education, consulting, and training for the home inspection industry. He is also the Program Director for Rockin' Science and the Director of Education for ProStar Academy.

John Pilger (Identify that Fireplace Correctly)
John Pilger has been in the sweep industry since 1983 and the owner / operator of Chief Chimney Services since 1986. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) as their President. John is a Past President of the NYS Chimney Sweep Guild and a member and representative for the National Chimney Sweep Guild to the National Fire Protection Association 31 committee. He is a CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep, CSIA Certified Dryer Exhaust Technician, NFI Certified Wood Technician, FIRE Certified Fireplace Inspector and holds an Applied Science Degree in Fire Protection Technology. He is also a former Fire Marshal and Past Fire Chief.

Damien Steiner Smith (Social Media for Home Inspectors)
Damien Steiner Smith founded Guerrilla Social Media with one thing in mind: bringing the power of social media to all businesses in a simple, efficient, and affordable way. After his career in the US Navy, Damien began building a team of social media managers who helped develop the marketing strategy that is now known as the Guerrilla Strategy. Steven O'Donnell (AHIT Green-Certification Course)
Steven O'Donnell has been an Instructor with the American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT) since 2005, an Arizona State Certified Home Inspector, a BPI Certified Building Analyst and Envelope Professional as well as a HPwES Contractor in Arizona.  Having started in the Environmental Consulting field in 1988, he has over 23 years of health & safety, IAQ, lead, asbestos, Home Inspection, and Energy Auditing experience.  He was the owner and one of the inspectors of a multi-inspector firm in Phoenix which completed over 28,000 inspections prior to the sale of the company in 2005.  He now travels the country for AHIT training students to become Home Inspectors and Home Inspectors to become Energy Auditors.  When not teaching he is performing Energy Audits and building retrofits as a Home Performance Contractor throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
