Arizona Certification (Enacted 2002)

Arizona home inspectors are certified by the Arizona Bureau of Technical Registration. The following certification requirements apply:

• 18 years of age or older

• Be of good moral character

• Successful passage of the National Home Inspector Exam

• Successfully complete 80 hours of approved classroom education

• Successful completion of 100 home inspections or 30 parallel inspections.

The following insurance/bond requirements apply:

• Bond - $25,000 OR

• Financial insurance mechanism - $25,000 AND

• Errors and omissions insurance - $200,000/aggregate and $100,000/per occurrence
