West Virginia Certification (Enacted 2006)

West Virginia are certified and regulated by the State Fire Commission. The following certification requirements apply:

• Successful completion of high school or equivalent

• Successful passage of the NAHI State Real Estate Inspector Exam or the National Home Inspector Exam

• Been engaged in conducting home inspections for three years OR complete 80 hours of approved education

The following insurance requirements apply:

• General liability insurance - $250,000
