Beginning January 1, 2010, Oregon certified home inspectors have two changes in OAR 812-008-0202 Contracts and Reports to be aware of.

  1. Certified Home Inspectors are now required to include a specific statement that indentifies that the contained report is only for the use of the purchaser of the home inspection. You can find a copy of the statement in the link below or on the CCB website, under Statutes and Rules. Click on the Administrative Rules. Then the Addendum (effective January 1, 2010).
  2. Replacing the Home Inspector Summary (1-page) and the Home Inspector Summary and Standards of Practice (6-pages) is the Home Inspector Consumer Protection Notice. This one page notice must be given to customers at the time of contract. The notice can be downloaded from the CCB website.
