Mississippi Licensure (Enacted 2001)

Mississippi home inspectors are licensed and regulated by the Mississippi Home Inspectors Board. The following license requirements apply:

• Successful completion of high school or equivalent

• 21 years of age or older

• Successful completion of 60 hours of board approved education, which may include fieldwork

• Successful passage of the National Home Inspector Exam

The following insurance requirements apply:

• General liability insurance - $250,000

• Errors and omissions insurance - $250,000
