Maryland Licensure (Enacted 2001)

Maryland home inspectors are licensed and regulated by the Commission of Real Estate Appraisers and Home Inspectors under the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. The following license requirements apply:

• Successful completion of high school or equivalent

• Successful completion of a 72 hours of approved off-site training

The following insurance requirements apply:

• General liability insurance - $50,000
