Kentucky Licensure (Enacted 2006)

Kentucky home inspectors are licensed and regulated by the Board of Home Inspectors under the Office of Housing, Buildings, and Construction. The following licensing requirements apply:

• 18 years of age or older

• Successful completion of high school or equivalent

• Successful completion of 64 hours of board approved education

• Successful passage of either the NAHI State Real Estate Inspector Examination or National Home Inspector Exam

The following insurance requirements apply:

• General liability insurance - $250,000
