Kansas State Regulations (enacted 2008)
Kansas home inspectors are registered in the Kansas Home Inspector Registration Board. The following requirements apply:
- 18 years of age or older
- Successful completion of high school or equivalent
- Successful completion of 80 hours of board approved education
- Successful passage of either the NAHI State Real Estate Inspector Examination or National Home Inspector Exam
The following insurance requirements apply:
- General liability insurance - $100,000
- One of the following:
- Errors and Omissions - $10,000 or greater
- Irrevocable Letter of Credit
- Escrow Account - $10,000 or greater
- Surety Bond - $10,000 or greater
