Indiana Licensure (Enacted 2004)

Indiana home inspectors are licensed and regulated by the Home Inspectors Licensing Board under the Professional Licensing Agency. The following licensing requirements apply:

• 18 years of age or older

• Successful completion of high school or equivalent

• Successful completion of 60 hours of approved education of which 40 hours must be classroom training and 12 hours must be practical experience.

• Successful passage of the National Home Inspector Exam

The following insurance requirements apply:

• General liability insurance - $100,000
