Opportunities for Home Inspectors with Infrared Testing Webinar
Home inspection transactions have long been connected with real estate trends. When the real estate market took off, the home inspection profession followed and new blood came looking for opportunities. The problem came with the decline of real estate sales. The profession was now saturated and opportunities were not so plentiful. We as home inspectors needed to find ways to supplement our income or we chance closing the operations that we worked so hard to create. By incorporating new ideas like infrared into an existing business, a home inspector can make up for lost revenue. "Diversify or Die" appears to be holding true. Rather than take on a completely new field of work, why not expand on what you do? Home inspectors are a natural candidate for the opportunities that Infrared presents. This presentation will discuss the many opportunities that infrared thermography offers and how a home inspector can jump on the "Infrared" highway. Topics of discussion include: -
Why IR is a perfect add-on to a home inspector's business -
What is similar about home inspections and infrared and what is different -
Legal ramifications of performing infrared surveys and home inspections -
All the tools needed to perform energy-saving surveys and the costs -
What skills (that are different from home inspector's skills) do you need to do IR
