Presenter
Steve Preins, President and Owner of Quality Education Group, Inc. located in Lombard, Illinois, gave a fantastic presentation on old houses and the special care needed when inspecting them.   This session concentrated on homes older than the 1950′s and included pictures of issues found in bungalows, English Tudors, Victorians, mansions, you name it!

Topic
Some of the topics discussed in this presentation included watching out for moisture in renovated basements, asbestos in broken/cracked ceilings, wall and floor tiles, odd locations for important components like electrical boxes in showers and chimney vents in closets, and all sorts of weird things in crawlspaces and attics!  Steve stressed the importance of working slower and more diligently due to so many of the unique features and potential safety issues that may be found in old homes.
